Liverpool 2 Blackburn Rovers 4

The Reds reserves twice came from a goal behind but still couldn't prevent Blackburn from deservedly beating us at the academy by four goals to two.

On a damp afternoon Rovers took the lead after just fourteen mintes when Fernandez finished well after Blackman got to the line.

The Reds struck their first equaliser on thirty eight minutes when Nathan Eccleston scored but Rovers took the lead almost straight away when Fernandez got his second goal of the day after a mistake by Belford.

The Reds came straight back again and after Ngoo was fouled in the box he got up and fired home to make it two nil but it still wasn't half time and just before the break Josh Morris fired home to give Rovers a half time lead.

The second half only saw one goal and that went Rovers' way although either side of that goal the Reds hit the bar and the post. The Rovers goal came on seventy minutes when Slew scored from close range after a fine move.
