The Reds came from behind to beat Aberystwyth Town in their 125th anniversary celebrations. Sion James had sent the home side in to the lead but Vincent Weijl got the Reds back on terms.
Gerardo Bruna and Nathan Eccleston then shot the Reds in to a half time 3-1 lead. Ryan Crowther bagged the final goal for the Reds in what was new reserve manager John McMahon's first game in charge.
McMahon later commented that the Reds hadn't started too well but their reaction was positive and that they played some nice football. The only down side to the day was an early injury to Lauri Dalla Valle but McMahon later commented that the Finn would be fine.
