After the Reds' game against Wigan had been postponed earlier in the week the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at the academy in a friendly fixture instead.
Wigan's equaliser came with the final kick of the match after Dean Bouzanis was adjudged to have fouled his man in the box.
The Reds had taken the lead through a penalty after San Jose was brought down in the box from a Damien Plessis corner.
Coach Gary Ablett described conditions as very windy and not the best pitch to play on. mostly concerned with getting his side more match practice with the last two league games having been postponed.
