The Reds were held 0-0 against a ten man Blackburn side at the Halliwell Jones. The Reds had chances on the night but just couldn't find a way past Peter Enckleman in the Rovers goal. Rovers played from the 31st minute with ten men after Sergio Peter kicked out at Sebastian Leto's chest. The ref had no choice but to send him off.
Despite the man advantage though the Reds just couldn't create that golden chance.
The Reds introduced Dani Pacheco at half time who did well in the second and nearly broke the deadlock but for an offside flag. There was also a late introduction for Gerardo Bruna who was recently signed from Real Madrid.
