Galatasaray 3 Liverpool 0

The Reds were soundly beaten by Galatasaray in Istanbul. Former Red Milan Baros bagged two goals in the first half and then former Bolton striker Johan Elmander came off the bench to score a third late in the game.

The biggest plus point for the Reds on the night was the fact that they were able to give a full run out to a number of players with Kyrgiakos being one of them and he captained the side for the night.
