Liverpool 4 Arsenal 2

This game will be remembered as the one in which Jack Balmer hit his third consecutive hat-trick for the Reds. He had previously hit three against Portsmouth and four against Derby. No player had hit three consecutive league hat-tricks before so the pressure was on Balmer to produce the goods again.

Arsenal were no pushovers though and they were in fact 2-1 up at one point. Balmer had grabbed his first from the penalty spot. He than completed his hat-trick in the 61st and 68th minutes of the game to get the Reds a lead. Albert Stubbins bagged a fourth to confirm the win but all eyes were on Balmer.
