The Reds actually finished this game with nine men after Alf Hanson and Jimmy Seddon had to leave the pitch with injuries.

Hanson, guesting for the Reds lasted until the 55th minute when a knee injury forced him off and resulted in a hospital visit. With twelve minutes to go Seddon collided with another player and was left requiring stitches in a gashed head.
