Ipswich Town 0 Liverpool 1

The Reds were given a tricky away tie to the cup-holders Ipswich in the sixth round of the cup. The game certainly proved to be tricky for the Reds as well. Thankfully Ipswich left their shooting boots at home as they dominated the first half without scoring.

The second half saw a better performance form the Reds and they topped it off with a goal from Kenny Dalglish seven minutes in to the half. Dalglish turned Butcher and shot home with aplomb.
