Alexander Doni has joined the Reds today after Kenny Dalglish flew back from Malaysia to seal the deal.
The Brazilian completed a free transfer from AS Roma on a two year deal. The highly experienced keeper moves to the Reds after spending six years in Rome where he played with Alberto Aquilani at one point and last season lined up with former Red John Arne Riise who has recently moved to Fulham.
He started his career at Corinthians in Brazil before playing at Santos, Cruzeiro and Juventude. The Sao Paulo born keeper moved to Rome in 2005 and played 179 times in total.
Damien Commoli also commented on the signing that it will allow loan time for our younger keepers.
